Ales Cap and I have written a report on how to design new 'Electoral Integrity Institutions' to defend against the threat of deepfakes and misinformation damaging democracy, particularly during elections.
Although 2024 wasn't as bad as some feared, the threat is growing fast and democracies have been far too slow to respond.
